Subject: Request for Medical Advice and Consultation
Dear Hakim,
My name is Ebisa Gizachew. I am a C1 student living in Holeta town, located west of Addis Ababa on the Ambo road, 29 km from Holeta. I alternate spending 15 days at a clinic and 15 days at my home, which are 100 meters apart.
From 30/07/2016 to 29/05/2017 (my C1 entry), I fell ill five times by Plasmodium vivax malaria. Despite living in Holeta, which is not a malaria-prone area, and having no travel history to malaria-endemic regions, I still contracted it multiple times.
Each time I was treated with both standard treatment and eradication therapy, I tested negative when screened one month after treatment.
Given my unusual case and lack of exposure to malaria-prone areas, I would greatly appreciate your advice and consultation regarding the possible cause of these recurrent infections and preventive measures I can take.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
Sincerely,
Ebisa Gizachew
