Description:
As a 2nd-year student in Sociology, Development Studies, or a related field, you’ll join our PLC in a role that offers the chance to directly impact the success of our projects. You’ll be actively involved in securing funding from donor organizations and
corporate CSR departments to support Weyra’s impactful initiatives, making this a meaningful growth opportunity.
Requirements:
● Currently enrolled as a 2nd-year student in Sociology, Development Studies, Public Relations, or a related field.
● Interest in fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations.
● Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills.
● Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively with project teams
Role & Responsibilities:
● Research and identify potential funding sources, including donor organizations,
foundations, and corporate CSR departments.
● Draft grant proposals, sponsorship letters, and funding requests to secure financial
support for Weyra’s projects.
● Collaborate with project teams to understand funding needs and align proposals with
project goals and impact.
● Maintain a database of donors and funding organizations, helping to manage
relationships effectively.
● Support the development of ongoing relationships with stakeholders to foster future
partnerships.
● Track and report on outreach efforts, responses, and secured funds to measure success.
