I'm quitting. Yep, I'm quitting for real this time.

I handed in my month's notice that day, quitting my first ever *real* job where I have to sit at an office to do their work. I've been at Bete-Semay Creative Media (aka BTSMY) for the past 2.5 years, working as a creative director and motion designer.

I have big plans... Big big ones! Thank you to the friends that supported me online, 🥂 we'll celebrate in two weeks bois!

Oh, I forgot to update on My Progress With Rive! Earlier this week, I managed to integrate my rive project onto stickerguy.et's website! Click on the big Mascot's face for a special animation. 😉

Also, I'm experimenting on this style: posts with voice messages as the expanded view of my thoughts. Let me know your comments on this style :)

This became the first physical item of my big plans this month: I'm finally getting a home workspace! I haven't worked at home in nearly 3 years... I'll get more into that in a few days.

🎄 I was the Secret Santa of Merry! I had no idea who she was before this event.. But luckily we had opportunities to introduce ourselves in the chat. She also has a lot of stuff I could read on her channel. Stalking mode on!

I got her a notebook and a nice pen, she loves writing and I thought this would be perfect to start her year. She's a super positive personality; I saw that she loves to "Spread Kindness" and "Make Everyday Count". Most of all, she repeats the phrase "All We Have Is Now" so I got her stickers of all of that. I didn't want her to be limited to just these designs so I got her a coupon for 25 stickers from @stickerguy so she can fill up that notebook with whatever she wants 😊

🎄Last week, I was invited along with 30 other awesome telegram creators to play Secret Santa and celebrate Christmas!

2024 was not among my best years... Though wild stuff though and I respect the lore. Yesterday was a real stressful day, an actual end to a chapter.

I'll be picking up the pieces from the rubble this month, cause today really does feel like a new year. I'm happy you'll be seeing more of me this year more than ever.

Good morning, good news! Yohannes and I @eyuelzerostuff experimented and built a working patch that circumvents the developer mode BS from the recent CBE mobile banking update.

It's called CBELauncher and it does exactly that. It will launch the app without the error message. Use the link below to get the apk:

RIVE IS AWESOME! I finished the tutorial with the rigging stuff. The app is super intuitive especially for someone that has used After Effects for almost a decade lol. This opens up a whole new chapter of character animation for me!

Here's my progress so far... I was able to build a nice rig on The Sticker Guy's mascot, moving his face almost as if it's 3D and his eyes are on a separate rig. You can see how I've made the joysticks control everything. This would have taken me so long on After Effects!

@TemCooks had challenged me to try out Rive (rive.app). A new motion design software I couldn't find time for... But I just downloaded the app today and I'm going to start watching the official tutorial series. I wonder how fast we can get used to this. The timer starts now.

The CBE android app just got a very quick 500kb "critical" update that prevents you from using the app with developer mode turned on in your system settings.

Who but developers turn on Developer Mode?? 😁 Devs, I found a solution! More in comments 👇
