A closet tip from a friend of mine, "Would you wear that outfit if you were to go to church?"

Keep in mind that Church is not a building but a person; people.

"The church is a group or congregation of people who have accepted the heavenly calling (Heb 3:1) and are separated from the world (2 Corinth 6:16-18), redeemed and bought by the blood of Christ (Eph 1:7, Acts 20:28), born again through faith in Jesus Christ (John 3:16, Eph 2:14-16), and who reveal the image of God on earth (1Tim 3:15)."

So yes the way we dress or look should also be given emphasis.
When we go to church we are heading to these people; people we became family through Christ.
Imagine making them stumble from this calling just by the way we dress/look? It has the power as simple as that.

Does it glorify God?
Does it make anyone to stumble upon sin? Is the question we should ask ourselves.
There shouldnt be a special outfit that we reserve for dinner or when we go out but we dont wear to church.
Dont wear anything that you wont be wearing to church!

Its time to clear our closet.

Isnt emptiness scary?
For emptiness to take place all should be laid down
The good, the bad and the ugly
The gesture you would want everybody to see;
The deed you would want everybody to know;
The proud identity who once wanted to take place;

The worst kind of mistakes that had been done;
The sides nobody should come across at;
The part where humility was lost;

The home where the fear of the lord was not held
The eyes that saw what was not allowed to it;
The ears that heard what was not permissible;
The tongue that took the lord in vain
All of it.
They should be laid down before God for us to be empty and be filled by Him.
So its not half yours and half mine but all for Him.
All the good, the bad and the ugly laid before Him for Him to reside in our heart where He calls it home.
So yes it might be scary but its not something He doesnt know.
So when we say fill me we are saying let the other things out and let me take in what is Yours.


Let Him search and know our heart.
Let us allow Him to look through it all and renew us.

Psalm 139:23-24 (NIV)

But when will the worry end?
For my peace to begin and my soul to rest;
When will my agony come to finish?
For my breakthrough to take place and be well;
When will the trauma halt?
For my healing to take place;
When will you judge?
For my justice to be served;
When will you see?
For my life to be put at the right track;

I can't help but question
Fill my blank pages with loads of it.
But You stay silent, like You didnt even listen
At least that is what i thought.
But You, oh You are unpredictable, God.
You are too creative to repeat yourself.
You yourself are the answer. My ink to the blank spaces
My joy through the hopeless journey
My color in the midst of grey
My handfull when i can not grab
My legs when i can not walk
My home through out eternity.

What I really love about Christian Fellowship is that the way a fellow Christian prays for someone in their time of need; the way the whole congregration prays over someone who relocates because of a Job and related things; the way when someone parts ways they give eachother a gift (a Bible, spiritual book etc) until they meet again.
And all this because of one Christ who united us.


Christianity isnt a life you live in solitude.
Its living a life as members of one body who is Christ.

Exodus 22:21 (NIV)
²¹“Do not mistreat or oppress a foreigner, for you were foreigners in Egypt.

Exodus 23:9 (NIV)
⁹“Do not oppress a foreigner; you yourselves know how it feels to be foreigners, because you were foreigners in Egypt.

““መጻተኛውን አትጨቁን፤ በግብፅ መጻተኛ ስለ ነበራችሁ፣ መጻተኛ ምን እንደሚሰማው እናንተ ራሳችሁ ታውቃላችሁና።”

So this same verse repeated in two consecutive chapters is not a coincidence.
Everyone has a story of their own. አልፈው የመጡበት፣ እያለፉበት ያለው ግን ካለፈ በኋላ ሲያወሩት በአቅሜ አለፍኩት በራሴ እንዲህ አደረኩ ብለው boast የሚያደርጉበት ሳይሆን when a person passes through that same situation and you come across them, Since you know how that feels there is no one better than you at that time to help them. And isnt that what makes God happy?
So whatever you maybe passing through, maybe all of it is not for your own sake but for others. For you to help others.

Be the person who you needed when you were hurting.
