አየር መንገዱ ከኤርትራ ሲቪል አቬሽን ባለስልጣን ደርሶኛል ባለዉ ደብዳቤ ከመጪው መስከረም 20 ቀን 2016 ዓ.ም. ጀምሮ ወደ ኤርትራ የሚያደርገውን በረራ እንዲቋረጥ መደረጉን አስታዉቋል ።

የበረራ እገዳዉን በተመለከተ ምንም አይነት ምክንያቶች አልተገለፀም ያለዉ አየር መንገዱ ከኤርትራ ሲቪል አቬሽን ባለስልጣን ማብራሪያ እየፈለገ መሆኑን ገልጿል።

ከባለስልጣኑ ወደ ኤርትራ የሚደረገውን በረራ መቋረጡን የሚገልፅ ደብዳቤ ደርሶኛል ያለዉ የኢትዮጵያ አየር መንገድ ማንኛውንም ችግር በሰላማዊ መንገድ እና በፍጥነት ለመፍታት ቁርጠኛ ነኝ ብሏል።

አየር መንገዱ በአሁኑ ወቅት ከሰኞ እና ማክሰኞ በስተቀር በሳምንት ለአምስት ቀናት ወደ አስመራ ከተማ  በረራዎች እያደረገ ቢገኝም፤ የኤርትራ ሲቪል አቪዬሽን ባለስልጣን ከመጪው መስከረም 20፤ 2017 በኋላ እንደሚቋረጡ አስታውቋል።

(የሁለት ዓመት የጂ.ኤስ.ኤም.ኤ ሪፖርት ማጠቃለያ)

በሴቶች እና በወንዶች መካከል ያለው የስልክ እና የኢንተርኔት አጠቃቀም ብዙ ነገሮችን ያመለክታል። ይህ ቁጥር ደግሞ ከሌሎች ሀገራት ጋር ሲነጻጸር የሚያመለክታቸው ነገሮች እንደቀላል አይታዩም።

GSMA የተባለው ተቋም በዚሁ ዙሪያ ያሉ ልዩነቶችን በማጥናት በየዓመቱ ሪፖርት ያወጣል። ኢትዮጵያም ተቋሙ በ2023 እና በ2024 ባወጣው ሪፖርቱ ውስጥ ካሉ 12 ሀገራት መካከል ተካታለች።

ይህንን የ2 ሁለት ዓመት ሪፖርት ማጠቃለያ ከማነጻጸሪያ ቁጥሮች ጋር የቀረበ ሲሆን ከሪፖርቱ ኢትዮጵያን የሚመለከቱ መረጃዎች ቀርበዋል።

አንዳንድ ነጥቦች ከሪፖርቱ (ከ2024 የተወሰደ) ፦

- በኢትዮጵያ 79 በመቶ ወንዶች፤ 57 በመቶ ሴቶች የሞባይል ባለቤት ናቸው። በሁሉቱ ጾታዎች መካከል ያለው ልዩነት ደግሞ 28 በመቶ ነው።

- በኢትዮጵያ ስለ ስልክ ኢንተርኔት ግንዛቤ ያላቸው ወንዶች 64 በመቶ ሲሆኑ ሴቶች በአንጻሩ 52 በመቶ ያህሉ ብቻ ናቸው።

- አዋቂ ከሚባሉት እድሜያቸው ከ18 ዓመት በላይ ከሆነው አጠቃላይ የህዝብ ቁጥር በኢትዮጵያ የስልክ ኢንተርኔት ተጠቃሚ ተብለው የተቀመጡት ወንዶች 21 በመቶ ሴቶች በአንጻሩ13 በመቶ መሆናቸውን አስቀምጧል፡፡

- በኢትዮጵያ የስማርት ስልክ ተጠቃሚዎች የሆኑ ከ18 ዓመት በላይ ከሆኑ ወንዶች 20 በመቶው ሴቶች ደግሞ 15 በመቶው ብቻ ናቸው፡፡

Ethiopian Petroleum & Energy Authority (EPA) disclosed that 3.2 million tons of fuel were imported into the country during the last fiscal year. The figure includes 2.04 million tons of diesel and 767,672tns of benzene. In the past fiscal year, the digital payment system, Telebirr, facilitated transactions totalling 103 million volumes worth 61.8 billion Br. Of these transactions, 81.39pc were for diesel, while 17.82pc were for benzene.

New Leadership elected for Chamber of Commerce

In a significant development, the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations (ECCSA) has elected a new president and leadership team during its general meeting held on July 18, 2024. The meeting was convened at the directive of the Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration.

Sebsebe Abafira, who previously served as the President of the Oromia Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations, was elected as the new President of the ECCSA. He will lead the organization for the next two years.
