Topic: Atrial Fibrillation and Retinal Stroke

Study Details: A retrospective cohort study analyzed a 5% sample of U.S. Medicare beneficiaries (≥66 years) from 2000 to 2020, including 545,072 patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) and matched controls. Follow-up continued until death, loss of Medicare coverage, or study period end.

Results: AF patients had a higher retinal stroke incidence (0.55 vs. 0.50 per 1000 person-years; HR 1.14, 95% CI 1.02–1.28) and a significantly increased risk of cerebral ischemic stroke (HR 1.73). AF was not linked to central retinal vein occlusion but was associated with UTI, cataract, and humeral fracture.

Clinical Impact: AF is modestly associated with an increased risk of retinal stroke. Clinicians should consider this risk in older AF patients and include retinal stroke prevention in care strategies.

Topic: Association between serum vitamin D and severe headache or migraine: A population-based analysis

Clinical Impact: Higher serum vitamin D levels may lower migraine risk. Monitoring and managing vitamin D could aid migraine prevention and management.

Study Design: Data from 9,142 participants in the 2001–2004 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) analyzed vitamin D levels and self-reported migraines.

Results: Migraine prevalence was 20.53%. Participants with the highest vitamin D levels had a 16% lower migraine risk compared to those with the lowest levels (OR 0.84; 95% CI, 0.71–0.99).

የ2024 ብሔራዊ የህክምና ስፔሻሊቲ ስልጠና (ERMP) ፈተና ውጤት ይፋ ሆኗል፡፡

ታህሳስ 22/2017 ዓ.ም በ15 የፈተና ማዕከላት የተሰጠውን ፈተና፤ 1,811 ዕጩ ተፈታኞች የወሰዱ ሲሆን የአንድ ተፈታኝ ውጤት መሰረዙን ጤና ሚኒስቴር ገልጿል፡፡

ተፈታኞች የተሰጣቸውን User ID በመጠቀም ውጤታቸውን ከዛሬ ጀምሮ ማየት እንደሚችሉ ሚኒስቴሩ አሳውቋል፡፡

በውጤቱ ላይ ቅሬታ ያላቸው ተፈታኞች፤ ሥም፣ User ID፣ ውጤት እና የፈተና ማዕከል በመግለፅ በሚኒስቴሩ ነፃ የስልክ ጥሪ ቁጥር 952 እስከ ጥር 8/2017 ዓ.ም በሥራ ሰዓት ቅሬታቸውን ማቅረብ ይችላሉ ተብሏል፡፡

የስፔሻሊቲ እና/ወይም የዩኒቨርሲቲ ምርጫ ማስተካከያ እስከ ጥር 8/2017 ዓ.ም ማድረግ እንደሚቻልም ተገልጿል።

ጅግጅጋ ዩኒቨርሲቲ (Anesthesiology CCPM and Emergency & CCM)፣ ወሎ ዩኒቨርሲቲ (Orthopedics) እና መቐለ ዩኒቨርሲቲ (Dermatovenerology) ለዘንድሮ ERMP ስልጠና የተጨመሩ ፕሮግራሞች መሆናቸው ተገልጿል።
