✞God heard and healed him quickly. And Abba Bishoy according to his word repented fully in his heart and took up asceticism. And in the Monastery of Scetes (Egypt) when he lived for 38 years, he did not eat prepared meal or slept on a comfortable bed or bedding.
✞And to penalize his body he did not eat nor drink for 30 days. And in his days, he did not also see the appearance of a woman. And the Lord, Who loves repentance, increased His grace upon him and he wrote many works. And what was astounding was that because of his humility and holiness, he used to see the sin of each man.
✞Our holy father Bishoy-Peter lived in repentance and holiness in such a manner and passed away on this day and was buried in his monastery. And he received the wages for his labors from the true judge our Savior Jesus Christ, Who knows no bias.
✞✞✞ May the God of the Saints not deprive us of a time for repentance and an age for gladness. And may He grant us from the glory of the Saints. Amen!

And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.”
Luke 15:4-7
✞✞✞ Praise be to God, to His Virgin Mother and to the honorable Cross. Amen✞✞✞
