New F&O rule to come into effect from Thursday, Nov 21; here's what changes

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi), in its bid to curb excessive speculation in the futures & options (F&O) segment had proposed six key measures, which shall take effect from November 21, 2024.

Originally, the proposed changes were to take effect from Wednesday, November 20, 2024 onwards. However, because of the trading holiday the new F&O rules or the new norms for the derivatives segment will now come into effect from Thursday, November 2024 onwards.

Garden Reach | Warship-maker signed a contract worth approximately ₹226.18 crore (excluding GST) with the Transport Department of the Government of West Bengal. The ferries will be operated on the River Hooghly by the West Bengal Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (WBTIDCL). The agreement involves the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of 13 hybrid electric ferries under the West Bengal Inland Water Transport, Logistics and Spatial Development Project (WBIWTLSDP).

JSW Steel | Steelmaker said it has been declared the "Preferred Bidder" for the Codli Mineral Block XII in Dharbandora, Goa, following a forward auction conducted on November 12, 2024. Goa's Directorate of Mines & Geology made the announcement on November 18. "The company is declared as 'Preferred Bidder' with (the) highest final offer price at 92.60% of 'value of mineral dispatched'," a stock exchange filing read.

PSP Projects | 

Billionaire Gautam Adani's Adani Infrastructure will buy a 30.07% stake in construction firm PSP Projects for Rs 685.36 crore, confirming CNBC-TV18 news break. The deal includes an open offer at ₹642.06 per share, a 4% discount to the current market price, and involves purchasing a stake from one of PSP Projects' founders. Also, Adani Infrastructure made an open offer to acquire an additional 26% stake (1 crore shares) in construction firm PSP Projects at ₹642.06 per share.
