Today was my last day working at Bete-Semay Creative Media... I did forget my external hard disk at the office so I'll go back for it Monday. 😆 Typical of me lmao

It's been a wonderful 2.5 years there, I had a chance to work with incredibly fun coworkers, great bosses, and interesting projects. Them projects ranged from passionate to exciting to impactful... It's not easy to describe in just one post. Over the next week or so, I'll explore five of my favorite projects from that company with in-depth posts. That's the big January 2025, departure from #BTSMY! I'll miss working there. Onto the next big month... February.

It's a slight downgrade compared to my previous work PC, which was a ZenBook Pro Duo... But this new PC has a few pros compared to the PC I had when I was at #BTSMY:

✅ i7-11800H (my previous one was 10th gen)
✅ It's mine, owned by me.
✅ It's so pretty 😍

Things have been rolling in smoothly after this gift... I received a nice old keyboard and a used desk, white and comfortable. The little bumps are super encouraging :)

Today (or tomorrow) I'll be buying a new PC! I've been hunting for good deals locally cause I need the PC urgently. Hopefully this goes well too :)

Every single thing I've ever been good at... or succeeded at... or done for so long, I've had to make ridiculous mistakes.

Imagine if I wasn't willing to make a second mistake when dealing with After Effects. What if I didn't get another meeting after I screwed up that client meeting? 8 years of experience in my field and I'm still making mistakes. Don't be your own bully, boys.

I'm quitting. Yep, I'm quitting for real this time.

I handed in my month's notice that day, quitting my first ever *real* job where I have to sit at an office to do their work. I've been at Bete-Semay Creative Media (aka BTSMY) for the past 2.5 years, working as a creative director and motion designer.

I have big plans... Big big ones! Thank you to the friends that supported me online, 🥂 we'll celebrate in two weeks bois!

Oh, I forgot to update on My Progress With Rive! Earlier this week, I managed to integrate my rive project onto stickerguy.et's website! Click on the big Mascot's face for a special animation. 😉

He hit the nail on the head! He got me a desk mat, beautiful one at that! Thank you so much Aman, this means a whole lot to me more than you know. This became the first physical item of my big plans this month: I'm finally getting a home workspace! I haven't worked at home in nearly 3 years... I'll get more into that in a few days.

🎄 I was the Secret Santa of Merry! I had no idea who she was before this event.. But luckily we had opportunities to introduce ourselves in the chat. She also has a lot of stuff I could read on her channel. Stalking mode on!

I got her a notebook and a nice pen, she loves writing and I thought this would be perfect to start her year. She's a super positive personality; I saw that she loves to "Spread Kindness" and "Make Everyday Count". Most of all, she repeats the phrase "All We Have Is Now" so I got her stickers of all of that. I didn't want her to be limited to just these designs so I got her a coupon for 25 stickers from @stickerguy so she can fill up that notebook with whatever she wants 😊

2024 was not among my best years... Though wild stuff though and I respect the lore. Yesterday was a real stressful day, an actual end to a chapter.

I'll be picking up the pieces from the rubble this month, cause today really does feel like a new year. I'm happy you'll be seeing more of me this year more than ever.
