GalaxEye just became the first Indian space-tech startup to secure a US patent, protecting its proprietary OptoSAR technology for 20 years.
OptoSAR mounts synchronized Optical and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) sensors on a single satellite, capturing all-weather, day-or-night coincident data. It fixes the lag and angle mismatches of flying separate payloads, serving defense, disaster response, and agriculture.
Following trials on its Drishti mission, GalaxEye aims to deploy a 30-satellite constellation over the next 5 years for continuous global coverage.
