The Ethiopian Public Health Institute's (EPHI) response and recovery team in collaboration with North Wollo Zone Health Bureau, Lalibela Hospital and other stakeholders have been engaged in planning and implementing Public Health Emergency Prepardness and Response activities during the celebration of the Ethiopian Christmas in Lalibela.
Rapid Response teams were deployed, mobile clinics, temporary hand washing and latrines were installed and also public awareness on prevention of malaria, cholera and other communicable diseases were conducted.
Dr. Melkamu Abte, Deputy Director General of EPHI said "We all are very grateful to all our partners and stakeholders who extend all the necessary support to ensure the health security of the public."
