🎯Express Obligation or Necessity

👉Obligation ማለት ግዴታ ማድረግ ያለብን ነገር ወይም ግዴታ ማድረግ የሌለብን ነገር ማለት ነው።
Obligationንን ለመግለፅ የምንጠቀምባቸው Modal verbsኦች አሉ።እነዚህም

🟢 Have to

📒 In positive statement, Must and have to are used to express obligation or necessity.
➣በ must እና have to መካከል ልዩነት:

👉 Must is used to express obligation imposed by the speaker  or to express the obligation that comes from the speaker. (Must የሚያገለግለው  ግዴታን(ማድረግ ያለብን ህግ )ለመግለጽ ነው። ነገር ግን ግዴታው(ህጉ) የሚገለፀው በቀጥታ ህጉን ባወጣው ወይም ግዴታውን በሚያስፈፅመው አካል ነው።)

👉 Have to is used to express obligation or to express obligation that comes from the other person's order (Have to ም የሚያገለግለው  ግዴታን ለመግለጽ ነው። ነገር ግን ግዴታው(ህጉ) የሚገለፀው ህጉን ባወጣው (ግዴታውን በሚያስፈፅመው አካል) ሳይሆን በሶስተኛ ወገን ነው)

🎯ለምሳሌ: 👨‍🏫 እንግሊዝኛ መምህር ለአለቃ " Assignmentን ሰኞ ማስገባት አለባችሁ እና ለተማሪዎችም ንገራቸው" አለው።  ስለዚህ

🎯መምህሩ ለአለቃው የነገረው ህግ ወይም ግዴታ(መምህሩ የህግ አውጪ ነው እና በቀጥታ መምህሩ ማለትም ህግ አውጪው ለአለቃው ግዴታውን ተናግሯል።) ስለዚህ Mustን እንጠቀማለን።

👨‍🏫Teacher to the supervisor: your classmates and you must submit the assignment on Monday.

🎯አለቃው ደግሞ ለተማሪዎቹ ሲናገር  ግዴታው ወይም ህጉ በሶስተኛ ወገን ማለትም በአለቃው በኩል ስለሆነ የተነገረው  Have toን እንጠቀማለን። ነገር ግን መምህሩ ቀጥታ ለተማሪዎቹ ነግሯቸው ቢሆን ኖሮ  Mustን ነበር የምንጠቀመው ። ስለዚህ

አለቃው ለተማሪዎቹ 👉" We have to submit the assignment on Monday."

🔻Must እና have to ሁለቱም ግዴታን ለመግለፅ ነው የሚያገለግሉት። የሚለያዩት በግዴታውን ተናጋሪዎች ነው😊

Examples: Children must get balanced diet to be healthy.

📚 Must and Have to for deduction.

🎯Deduction is concluding that something is sure.
🎯 Must and have to are used for present deduction.

🔰Deduction ማለት እርግጠኝነት ልበ-ሙሉነት ማለት ነው።  ማለትም ስለ አንድ ነገር እርግጠኛ ሆኖ መናገር ማለት ነው። ታዳ በአንድ ነገር ላይ ልበ-ሙሉነታችንን ወይም እርግጠኝነታችንን ለመግለጽ Must እና Have toን እንጠቀማለን። ለምሳሌ ☺️

አቶ ሄኖክ ያለምንም እረፍት ለ8ሰዓታት ያክል ስራ በመስራት ላይ ነው። እና አንተ እርግጠኛ ነኝ አቶ ሄኖክ ደክሞታል አልክ። ስለዚህ ይህን እርግጠኝነትህን በ Must እና Have to ትገልፀዋለህ ማለት ነው። ስለዚህ

🔰Ato Henok has been working for 8 years without a rest. He must be tired.(British English )

🔰Ato Henok has been working for 8 years without a rest. He has to be tired.(American English )

📚ስለዚህ Must እና Have to  ግዴታን(Obligation)ንን ከመግለፅ ተጨማሪ Present positive deduction (እርግጠኝነትን) ለመግለጽ ይጠቅሙናል።

📚 Must እና Have to  Present positive deduction (እርግጠኝነትን) ለመግለጽ እንጠቀማለን። ነገር ግን Negative present deductionንን ለመግለፅ Must not እና don't have toን አንጠቀምም❗️

📚Must not is used to express prohibition. ስለዚህ Must not የሚያገለግለው የተከለከለ(ያልተፈቀደ)ነገርን ለመግለፅ ነው። ለምሳሌ ትምህርት ቤት ውስጥ ሲጋራ ማጨስ የተከለከለ ነው።  ስለዚህ

You must not stop smoking 🚬cigarette in School. ማለት እንችላለን።

📚የ Must not ጥቅሙ የተከለከለ ነገርን ለመግለፅ

ነው እንጂ Negative deductionንን ለመግለፅ አያገለግልም። ታዲያ Negative deductionንን ለመግለጽ የሚያገለግል ማነው ?🤔

📚 can't/ Couldn't  are used to express negative deduction in the present.ስለዚህ Can't /Couldn't Negative deductionንን ለመግለጽ ያገለግላሉ። ለምሳሌ
ሁለት ብርጭቆ ውሃ ግጥም አድርገህ ጠጥተህ 😂ከ5ደቂቃ በኃላ ለጓደኛህ  ውሃ ጠማኝ ብትለው😳። ከ5ደቁቃ በፊት 2ብርጭቆ ውሃ ጠጥተህ የለ እንዴ እርግጠኛ ነኝ ሊጠማህ አይችልም ። አለህ  ስለዚህ

🎯You can't /couldn't be thirsty.You have just drunk ✌️two glasses of water. ማለት እንችላለን ማለት ነው።
