North Korea's Kim Oversaw Launch of Missile that uses AI

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un oversaw the launch of a missile which allegedly used artificial intelligence to adjust its trajectory, state media reported on Sunday.

The AI technology means the missile is "capable of changing its flight orbit at a low altitude", Kim's powerful sister had said, adding this meant there was "no way to avoid" an attack.

Least Developed Country (LDC) status on 19 December 2029, following two reviews by the United Nations Committee for Development Policy in 2021 and 2024. 

Having been categorized as an LDC since 1991, Cambodia’s graduation is a milestone, as it ensures an adequate political environment and the implementation of major reforms in legal and policy planning and enforcement, alongside support from international partners.

Cambodia Provided $170 Million for Agriculture Financing over Three Years

Cambodia issued five special financing packages worth $170 million for the agricultural sector over three years to help productivity, market matching and to maintain price stability.   

According to the Government Spokesperson Unit’s briefing on Oct. 3, this financing initiative was meant to help maintain food security and market-price stability in the country.

Life Expectancy almost back to Pre-Covid Levels, Says WHO

Global life expectancy is close to the levels seen before the Covid-19 pandemic, but the outlook for years lived in good health is recovering more slowly, the WHO said Friday.

Life expectancy reached 73.3 years in 2023 -- close to the 73.4 years recorded in 2019 before the pandemic struck, the World Health Organization said in its annual Global Health Estimates (GHE) report.
